Monday...
Well, I apparently write about sports too often, so I guess that I will attempt to make an entire entry without talking about sports... Starting now.
So during my daily wikipedia browsing I came across a really great source. I was looking up info on the upcoming Colorado governor election, and found this page on wikipedia. I think that it is a pretty good deal. It lists who is running (Two major parties). It shows recent poll percentages. It also gives links to each candidates webpages. I like this because it will help a lot during this voting process. If you were wondering I do not plan on posting on who I will be voting for. You will just have to know me well enough to figure that one out.
In Tivo news, yes I did cave in. My caving in actually involved a phone call to Tivo customer support to confirm a deal that they are having. So my new Dual Tuner Tivo should be on its way soon. Now comes the decision on whether or not to get an additional cable box from Comcast so that I can still use my current TiVo and actually be able to record three shows at one time. Yes I would seriously consider doing this. I know that I will probably get quite a bit of flack from this purchase and that I probably should not have said anything about it. We all should know that I don't always think about what I say before I say it.
Let's see... About me... well I'm still working at Nolte Associates. I'm just sorta chillin' out here in Colorado. It has actually rained more in the past week than I have had to deal with since I moved here. We are really using up our 15 or so days of rain all in the month of May so far. Yes it is said that Denver has 350 days of sunshine year round. I'm totally sick of rain. It is just the most incovenient thing ever. I am just really looking forward to having dry sidewalks and roads again. Squeaky shoes just absolutely drive me nuts.
Here is something. I am driving to work this morning, clipping along at a nice even pace of 35 mph down park meadows drive. I'm a few car lengths (probably about five) behind the car infront of me. Just generally not in a hurry and at the turn where you would turn to go to Fox & Hound or 7-Eleven the car infront of me turns in, and there is a jeep waiting to come out. The car in front of me turns in, I am far enough behind (not out of sight, cause I see the jeep) that I don't have to really slow down much. I don't know if this Jeep driver was just tired of waiting or what, but he decides to pull right out attempting to cross my lane of traffic. He realizes his mistake around the time that I am slamming on my brakes. We both stop but it was pretty close. I just sorta shake my head low and give a disapproving look and put my car in gear and continue on to work. I did check my rear-view and I actually still saw that jeep just sitting there. I am very thankful for the quality brakes and new tires on my car. But I still sit here and think to myself, what was that guy thinking? Did his brain just misfire or what? I guess I will never know.
Well that's about it for my exciting day so far.
I hope that this was enough of a post to satisfy the naysayers.
